Super Mario Bros.: Seeking Sunshine is a 2-D platform game released by Hello in late 2009. In the storyline, the Mushroom Kingdom has been overcome by a never-ending night sky, and Mario must find all 68 Shines to restore the kingdom to its natural order. Hello uses his standard Black Squirrel tiles and OC Remix arrangments in Ogg Vorbis format. As in Super Mario Bros. Shine Pursuit and many of Hello's 2006 and 2007 games, players must collect a set number of Shine Sprites in each level to open the gate blocking the level exit. To reach these Shines, players have to use switch blocks to open and close exclamation blocks. There are eight levels, as well as a few Spade Games and wandering Hammer Bros., and some Mushroom Houses accessed through hidden exits in the regular levels. Levels include typical Hello environments like grassy/hilly, cavern, desert, underwater, and fortress, and all levels take place as night. Later stages are longer and have more Shines to collect.
